Happy October!

Here's a look at what's coming up this week at FMC Marshall:

On Wednesdays, Grief Ministry will meet from 1:30pm - 3pm in the parlor. FMC Kids and Youth meet from 5:30pm-7:30pm, and Choir meets at 6pm.

FMC will volunteer at Mission Marshall on Wednesday, October 8th. Please be aware that all volunteers must sign up at least one week in advance. Please contact Ken Wilson at (210)315-9253 if you are interested in volunteering your time to this important ministry within our community.

Lifelight Youth will kick off the start of Fall Break with a lock-in on October 10-11. An all-night celebration of food, fun, and fellowship for students 6th-12th grade! Contact Youth Pastor Zack Fisher (zack@firstmarshall.com) for more details.

It is that time of year when we begin to prepare our hearts for the celebration of the birth of our Savior. And what better way to prepare than to fill a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a project of Samaritan's Purse. OCC delivers into the hands of children all around the world, not only gifts to light up their world but most importantly, the gospel to fill their souls. Since 2009, over 46 million children have participated in a 12-lesson discipleship course, The Greatest Journey, and over half of those have made a decision for Christ. Won't you please help us this year by filling a shoebox for a needy child to show them God's love in a tangible way? Shoeboxes will be available for pickup at the entrance to the church on October 19th. If you have any questions, please email Ruth Wilson. (6wilson@sbcglobal.net)

Stay tuned for updates as we continue to add new activities to our calendar!

Pastor David's sermon this Sunday will focus on forgiveness and God's provision. Sermon notes can be found on our website under the "Resources" tab.

Next week will be Membership Sunday! If you would like to become a member of our church and would like to learn more, please contact the church office.

We pray you have a wonderful week going forward and hope to see you soon!
