Good morning!
Here's a look at what's coming up at FMC Marshall:
Wednesday Activities
Grief Ministry held their last meeting of the year yesterday. They will resume meetings in January.
FMC Kids and Lifelight Youth will meet Wednesday night from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm in the FBC Family Life Center.
Choir will meet Wednesday night at 6:00 pm.
Special Prayer Service
December 9th marks the anniversary of the devastating fire that brought new challenges to the past year. This year we will gather at 5:30 pm on that site to offer our prayers of thanksgiving for God’s blessings, and our prayers of hope for faithfulness to God’s call to mission and ministry.
Church Conference
FMC Marshall will hold its annual church conference on Thursday, December 11th, at
6:00 pm.
Holiday News / Ministries
Society of St. Stephen
Every year the Society of St. Stephen endeavors to help needy children within our community experience the joy of Christmas. With so many children to help this year, the society is in urgent need of callers, shoppers and volunteers to help with the packing and distribution of items. If you would like to help, please contact Heather Carlile at (903)926-1052.
Assembly Date: Saturday, December 13th, 8:15 am, FBC Family Life Center
Distribution Date: Sunday, December 14th, 2:00 pm, FBC Family Life Center
Musical Celebration of Christmas
Please join us on Sunday, December 14th as we celebrate the season with a special musical worship service presented by the First Praise Choir and the Children’s Choir at 10:00 am in the FBC main sanctuary.
Christmas Parties
FMC Kids and Lifelight Youth will have their Christmas party on Wednesday, December 17th, from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm.
Pairs & Spares Sunday school class will hold their Christmas party on Sunday, December 7th, at 4:00 pm at the Shadowood clubhouse.
The Choir Christmas party will be on Sunday, December 14th, at 6:00 pm at the residence of George Huffman.
The Covenant Sunday school class Christmas party will be held at the residence of Mark and Carol Hartt on Monday, December 15th, time TBD.

This Sunday will mark the 2nd Sunday of Advent. Pastor David will continue his Advent series with a message about peace. Sermon notes can be found on our website under the "Resources" tab.
